In our recent Revolutionary War quest, we stumbled upon this jewel of a BBQ joint. It was so good we visited it twice. Once after, we beat the British at Musgrove Mills and then again after hiking a part of the Overmountain Victory Trail. This establishment was no dive for sure. The restaurant was of good size and also served as a butcher’s shop. As to the restaurant side of things, you ordered at the counter. The daily menu is pretty diverse, but I stuck with the Pulled Pork Q sandwich with okra and H&H tea. I opted for the yellow stuff as the sauce. The others, as confirmed by the picture, had some other delights. My fare would; undoubtedly put it on the destination list, and QE3 said hers was a delight. She even opted to take a pound or so home. So, if you are even a half-hour away from this site, I implore you to try it out and confirm this discovery.
