Wow, I never thought I would stumble over such a place that had literally been under my nose for years, but I did. I met my cousin who was bringing back my horse to me. We decided to meet in Rockhill to simplify her trip. I scoured google for a suitable restaurant and, of course, picked one I had never been to before. A BBQ restaurant, imagine that! When I arrived, I found not so much a restaurant but a joint next to a coin-operated laundry. Well, this was going to be a humdinger of a place or crickets. Sometimes you just can’t tell. Well, let me tell you, it hum dinged. We did the family gossip thing while munching down on some unbeatable pork sandwiches. Interestingly, it was somewhat Piedmont style and sauce but pulled rather than chopped with red slaw. Also, it contained some delicious burnt ends. For a side had the healthy collards and blackeyed peas. All washed down with some H&H tea. What a feast! Pretty sure this is Destination Q, but I will have to visit it next month or so to verify. However, don’t let this stop you. Go for it!
(Got my horsey back and groomed. Jack, The Wonder Horse, has now settled down comfortably in the Ole Pool Hall and is grazing on some cold ones)
