While finishing our Revolutionary War tour, we zeroed in on Sweatman’s BBQ in close by Holly Hill.  Had not been there in over a decade.  The last time I was there, it was a booming buffet open only on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.  It was a great experience and much like Shealy’s.  Unfortunately, like everything else in our great land, it has taken a COVID hit and adjusted to the times.  Still just Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, but no more buffet and just order at the counter.  It kind of took the wind out of the ole bag, but things must adjust everywhere.  I had my usual fare and had the still excellent pulled whole pork Q sandwich with some tasty mustard sauce.  They did not provide an option of slaw, so I chose it as a side and some mac and cheese that was more or less adequate.  Washed it down with some great half&half.   As a bonus, the wife shared a tad of her nana pudding, which was a delight.  So, all in all, a hearty experience that everyone in the vicinity should enjoy.

(As to a tour of the Eutaw Springs battle site.  It was somewhat of a bust and took about fifteen minutes to digest at the most.  The authorities need to tidy this one up, considering the magnitude of the engagement.  As a bonus, we went to Edisto Gardens after lunch which the ladies enjoyed smelling the roses immensely but were somewhat a ho-hum event for us gents!)
