I wanted to try this place for years and finally got the chance while coming home from Pawley’s this November. It was thankfully pretty much what I expected, and it fit the bill for sure. Old barbecue joint that you ordered from the counter and ate outside. I got a sandwich with white slaw and ate in the 4Runner cause it was somewhat chilly. The sandwich was not exactly what I expected. It was just two pieces of white bread that you had to make with the provided delicious pulled pork and slaw. The Q was tender and peppery, as expected. It’s a little pricey for just a sandwich, but more than made up for it in terms of the amount of pork, third to a half for sure. So don’t let the cost put you off. I was pretty full without the benefits of other sides, except the slaw. This is one place you don’t want to miss. They don’t make them like this much anymore. So get there before it is too late!
