Before our annual ”Death March” on one of the numerous Pisgah trails, the Rocky Bottom boys and myself decided to do the death defying paddling of class one rapids down the South French Broad River. We rented some Kayaks from some nice and knowledgeable folks at Headwaters Outfitters in Rosman for our 12 mile hazardous journey. We somehow endured and after pickup discovered we were hungry and thirsty. Luckily on the Headwater property was the Blue Smoke BBQ food truck and an indoor taproom to boot! My main fare of the day was their Pork Belly Taco’s with some side ribs and washed down with that delicious cold Oskar Old Chub brew. Nothing could be finer. Except going there the next day after surviving our hike and doing it all again except with a huge burrito this time around. I encourage you to give this one a whirl and please tell’em the Rocky Bottom Boys sent you!
