Over the years I fondly remembered it and promised myself that I would partake again. Interestingly enough I found myself in Louisville over the holidays and remembered this promise and decided to track down this dish. Sure enough I googled it and found that not only was I in the right locale, but was right around the corner from where it was invented which was of course at the Brown Hotel.
The hot brown was just as I remembered, but much much better and the atmosphere was superb. Washed it down with some excellent crisp half and half tea. Although slightly on the high side for the fare I would no doubt make it back double time if in the locale again!
