Location/Directions
We were famished after our first day of arduous travels around Virginia’s historic triangle. This is what can happen when you ride a bus to and fro around the countryside for too long. Lucky for us, we had reservations at the landmark Christina Campbell’s Tavern. It is an authentic reproduction of a tavern that served the likes of Georgee W and Tommy J in the latter part of the 18th century. Besides the building, its décor and menu also reflect that time period. I opted for some greenery followed by some scrumptious fried oysters, crab cake, and a tankard or two of ale. Wow, let it be known these colonial chaps really knew how to chow down! I hope you, too, can make it to this wonderful place in your travels to Williamsburg.
