On the way back from Beaufort had to make a stop at that Capital of Quedom. It had been about 15 years since my last visit while doing college visits with the kids. Glad to say that nothing has changed here! Great as ever!!! Now for me, now that is a different story for sure. But let’s stick with the top-notch BBQ topic—I had a large sandwich with slaw, baked beans, and nana budding. All knocked my socks off. The sandwich was of Eastern Q variety, topped with white slaw, and added some Skylights own vinegar sauce. This Q might be the best I ever had! The beans were a bit spicy and well above solid. The homemade nana pudding must have contained two bananas. What a treat! The entire feast makes me think that this place might just be the King of NC Eastern Q. I hope it is not fifteen more years before my return to the Truckalina coast and the Skylight!
