If you are traveling down I-95 and in the lower part of Georgia, this is a must-lunch or dinner stop before entering the land of no personal state income taxes and Mickey. However, they do catch you on other items, ha ha, and especially in Mouse land. But, no worries for now because it is time to eat and Steffens is the place! Mainly a meat and three, but might be a fish and three for most. As for me, where seafood is forbidden, I opted for the country-style steak with brownish-white creamy dressing. How sweet it was, especially paired with fried okra, greens, and some cornbread. And let us not forget the delicious fried squash I somehow wrangled out of my better half by trading for a dessert!
