Location/Directions

While rambling back the Neuse Trail, I made a couple of stops.  One was the historical “House in the Horseshoe”.  The other was I desperately needed some eats.  On my way up on 24/27 a Q place in Biscoe called Tommy’s.  I then and there decided that I would need to stop off on my way back.  Glad I did.  I had the sandwich and opted for some greens since my food fest the day before needed a little greenery added today. The sandwich was piedmont style and was more than adequate for my needs.  As I was leaving, I saw many patrons eating what appeared to be finger-licking fried chicken.  That will be what I am having the next time around.  Hope to see you there!

(The 18th century “House in the Horseshoe” is historically significant due to a Revolutionary War battle fought on the property.  The bad guys won, but the house continued to make history down through the years.  If you are in the area, you might want to give it a look-see: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/House_in_the_Horseshoe
