I finished up the Polk to 7th street Greenway bike run and was hungry. I checked around, and it appeared that The Dive In was close at hand. Meaning I could almost trip over it. Well, not literally, but very close indeed. I heard about this place but never indulged. The question was, why not. It was on my side of the Oasis, and I had done Pinky’s and the Penguin in the past. Both are far from me but have similar “Dive” status. But the question was why not here? Well, I have no answer except to stop there, of course. That I did, and I was then talked into eating the mighty “Jimmy Special,” double all the way cheese decker with two 5 oz patties and an onion ring inserted to boot. I could not let this onion ring stand alone and had the side of them to go along with some great ½ and ½ tea. It was slap damn awesome!!! What a treat, but I could not eat dinner or lunch the next day. Such is life. So I am looking forward to my return… but ONE pattie, this go around!
