Feeling like Octoberfest in Ole Mecklenburg, look no further! The Waldhorn is beckoning and calling you in for its succulent menu. Annabelle and I took in its delights and satisfied our Germanic heritage. I started the event with a curly cue of pretzels with a flight of beers (well, at least for me). Prost!!! Afterward, we hit up another delicious appetizer, Gebackener Ziegenkäse.  Which were Goat Cheese, Spinach, and whatnot in some dough bread. It sang out that the hills are alive, but another flight arrived to save the other patrons. After that, it was on to the entrée sampler of “Wienerschnitzel,” Bratwurst, and Tafelspitz, and Do-Re-Me was starting to break out. Save that thought as I gave  Annabelle’s Apfelstrudel a taste, and Edelweiss was now in the air as we headed out the door on our journey home.   I can’t wait to get back here again!!!

(Hey, this is a heck of a feasting hole that is spitting distance from the jump-off point at Polk’s for the southern trailhead for the Little Sugar Creek Greenway. Since it only opens in the evenings, I suggest getting a late bike start and then hitting this place afterward. You want to regret it!!!)
