I did another shake-down cruise yesterday on the Mallard Creek Greenway. Afterward, I needed some morsels and headed to a Vietnamese place in University City a friend had recommended. Glad he did. It was delicious, and I can’t say I had partaken in any of this particular flavor in some time. I had the Banh Mi Porchetta, which is a pork-belly sandwich ginned up with Vietnamese spices on French styled baguette bread with veggies. Very nice and probably more healthy than my usual fare. Also, I liked all that ginger taste with the pork. I can’t wait to go again!

(As to the ride…I got off the Greenway and rode down memory lane through the UNC Charlotte Campus. Whoa, has it changed! Hard to get my bearings with the Belk Tower demolished. Too bad it was like Stonehenge for some of us! Nevertheless, the campus looked superb and well on its way to being the future largest campus in NC. Go, Forty-Niners!!!)
