I made a trip to Park Road Shopping Center to visit BikeSource. I needed a refit which took a little time. By the time they finished up, it was time for some vittles. I had the wife with me, and we decided to go for some eats. Lots of good food to choose from in this area, but someone referred me to Velvet Tacos. Glad they did because this place was great. There is a walk-in line to order. I got the Korean Rice and Texas Brisket, which arrived in a metal Taco tray. Both were delicious, but I like the Brisket a wee bit better. Washed it down with some terrific half and half tea. The whole fare fits the “Great” designation, which is my taste buds. I was somewhat surprised to find this was a chain. But it is what it is, which is, of course, “Destination” Tacos!
(Also, a shout out BikeSource and Park Road Shopping Center. BikeSource is my choice for getting Specialized bikes and repairs. They do a very excellent job in terms of sales and, more importantly, service. As to PRC, I have been going there since I was a little tyke. It was almost put out of existence by the close-by mall in past years but has made a stunning comeback in the last decade to have the perhaps the last laugh! Their various shops and eateries are a pleasure.)
