Wow, what a place! The food seems to be a dup of the “old” Penguin except with more space and better parking. Only downside, as Rock’n Roy says, the grease on the grill has not had time to build up for full flavor. Well, maybe so, but even with that it ranks high on the Destination List. Like the old Penguin we had fried pickles as an appetizer. For the main course it was a burger, corndog, and onion rings. Washed it all down with about a gallon of sweet tea. Nothing could be finer. I would have to say the heart attack on the stick was my favorite followed closely by the rings. Beats the State Fair by mile. So if you come to Shallotte you must stop here for some good eating!
