Well, it was back on the trail again after a fine Christmas. This time to Brown’s Mountain via Kings. Not too far, but not too close either. Still enough of a hike to whip up an appetite. Especially since it was getting way past the luncheon hour for us. Machine Gun was heading back to Soda City, so we decided to run in the direction toward York and pick up a venue there. Glad we did since we somewhat stumbled upon the Hoof & Barrel in about the center of downtown. Lovely place it was at that and it more than satisfied our cravings. I had the Tuesday Ribeye Taco special, and Mg opted for the Texas Toast burger with fries. Mine was scrumptious, and with MG’s clean plate, I guess his was too. I will certainly opt to return when I am in the vicinity. I hope you will too!
(Hike started out at Kings Mountain Military Park and went to Brown’s Mountain. Fun hike, bout six miles after we incorporated some sight seeing at the Park. Great outing!)
