After strolling through the shops on Front Street, we had worked up an appetite. Luckily for us, a fantastic restaurant situated on a bluff above the river was nearby. Perhaps more impressive is that we got to sit outside and eat a fantastic lunch with a grand river view in mid-November. Perhaps AG was right about this global warming stuff, but I will put it out of my mind for now since the concentration needs to be on sustenance in the form of culinary delights! I started with some of the best Gumbo I ever had, and it’s Carolina Style consisting of shrimp, sausage, fowl, and some sort of potato concoction.
It only got by better. Next up was an Oyster Po-Boy portraying itself as a French Bread BLT with Oysters. Bacon and the bread kind of gave it an interesting twist from the norm. All were a delight, and Antlers will be a MUST on my list when I return.
