Now I have been coming back to this place for over twenty years. My original 2010 dinner post is below and italicized. When we were working lads, we used to meet here to begin our wild weekend of drinking mucho Miller Lite and perhaps some cherry-flavored vodka for the UnWoven. Wow, things have changed since the women arrived; now, they are large and in charge. Also, our once poor spirits have been magically transformed into high tiers of the whiskey bourbon world. Que Sarah Sarah!
However, what has not changed is the River Room’s continuous output of good eats. This time it was for lunch, and I opted for the Oyster Poor Boy, with a large ring and some fries. To wash it down was the perennial favorite, Maisels Weisse, but now in the 17oz variety. Also, as usual, I snacked some off of Annabel’s plate. What a feast to behold. I can’t wait until next year!
(Always have a good time in Georgetown eating and visiting the little shops and whatnot. The Maritime Museum is always a favorite. Always find something new there. Also, Black Mingo outfitters are a must-stop for a sercy gift to the wife or yourself. Also, I like to do the River Walk gazing at the yachted and other wild life.
2010 post…..I have had the pleasure of eating at the River Room numerous times over the last ten years. Always have the same thing: the 4oz fillet and oysters. Why is change a good thing? The atmosphere is always great.
