By the address and pic you can ascertain that this eating entity is located at the Buffalo Trace Distillery. It is in conjunction with Staxx Barbecue located also in Franklin. So, some pretty doggone good names for partnering for this eating establishment. I was visiting Dandy Don and Doc in Louisville and decided to visit this distillery. Yes, as you all know, I am a beer guy, put can be persuaded now and then to partake of the brown stuff. So, the wife and I decided to take a little tour and glad we did. Informative and fun. As you might imagine, no Pappy was available, but did manage to snag a bottle of Blanton’s for Iron Man and the W&W. As said, tour was excellent and after suffering through tasting time it was time for lunch. They had onsite dining that was mostly outside base, but the weather was cooperating, so this was a pleasant experience. We both had the “Pork Barrel” which is pulled pork sandwich covered with some slaw for the Carolina folks. Also, some chips and all washed down with some sweet tea. All was fine by any measure. So, if you do take the tour, I would certainly make this a stop, especially after sipping down both yours and the spouse’s White Dog and driving off!
