Yea, this is a chain. So what is the big deal? Well I don’t like doing chains on this site, but I am going to start making exceptions for ones I really like. This happens to be quite a handful. Perhaps I will come up with a favorite chain category. However it will have to wait to it is a little bit colder when I have more time. In the meantime I want to give kudos to Firehouse subs. Not only do I like/love all their subs, especially the Hook and Ladder, but they have a Q sandwich on the menu called the King’s Hawaiian. Not a bad barbecue sandwich if I say so myself. Which I do of course. It is on a big toasted bun with a huge helping of pulled pork, pepper jack cheese, and Hawaiian cole slaw. Very tasty, but quite sweet. Definitely not for the traditional barbecue fan, but like I said tasty in its own right. For a side it was some Fritos and of course sweet tea. A very nice meal if I say so myself. It is going be a hard pull between the Hook and Ladder and the King’s Hawaiian next time I walk in to a Firehouse. Sound the alarm!
