After checking out Palmetto trees with a buddy, we decided to detour to Lincolnton to chow down at the Old Q King. It was a wise decision, as to this place it still has the MOJO in terms of nostalgia and good eating. I ordered the large BBQ King sandwich, pups, and the H&H tea which was yelled back from the order taker to the cooks . I like that and the quick service! The barbecue was Piedmont style oriented, medium chopped and moist, and only needed to add a little extra sauce. Pups were of the dachshund variety and were quite satisfying. A lovely feast, if I say so myself! I hope to get back there soon!!!
