When gotta have an Eastern NC barbecue fix, who do you call (or where do you go)? Then the appropriate answer for this Q buster would be, no doubt, the chain of Smithfield Barbecue! Now they have many other items on the menu besides barbecue, but mainly what I like them for is when I have a craving for the whole hog stuff, and nothing that resembles eastern is on the radar; this is definitely the place to look for while west of Raleigh. Usually, have the slaw sandwich with pups and, of course, some ½ and ½. It is enough to suffice until I head further east for sure!!!
