After an arduous climb to the top of Crowders and back, Iron Man and I were famished and were looking for nourishment since wildlife was scarce on the trail. So, we decided to head to the Cherokee Grill in Kings Mountain. This was the new go-to place other than Bridges BBQ, which was somewhat further up the highway and we needed to quickly skedaddle after this feasting. Again, I had the Philly and some scrumptious fried okra bites, but not before we grazed on some fine homemade chips and dip . IM got the Pork Chop and taters. The Philly was a delight and probably one of the best I have ever partaken. Note I had the terrific Pork-A-Saurus in the past, which will also light you up. This place is a humdinger, so if you are hiking Crowders or Kings, this is the place to engage afterward for food and drink!
(As to the hike, try to do this at least once a year. This year did the Ridgeline trail and some other parts rather than the Boulder. In the pic, you can see the Charlotte skyline somewhat left of the middle. Keeps getting bigger and bigger!)
