I always wanted to get to McCall’s in the past but somehow ended up at Wilbur’s. This changed this past year when I was able to feast there twice when trekking to Greenville for tennis and another matter. What a treat! Very similar Eastern North Carolina style BBQ that rivals the nearby competition in terms of different offerings, but I stuck to my guns at least once for my mainstay testing of Q on a bun and puppies. I love that Eastern North Carolina Q whole hog Que. I can’t wait to get there again!!
(Little Diddy to divulge here. My first trip to McCall’s was coming home from a tournament in Greenville. I had gotten injured, and my only condolence was seeing how many barbecue places I could eat at in my short 48-hour stay. Besides McCall’s, I managed to get to Parker’s and B’s and had home-cooked delicious Pork Loin one night. Needless to say, I ate like a pig and weighed in like a hog when I returned home!!!)
