It was boys’ weekend at Riccky’s mountain golf getaway. The second day we played a played a round at the Boone Golf Club. Our team won, but as you know my golfing skills are not so great, so I cannot say I helped in this endeavor. However, I did manage to have fun and of course that fun meant food and drink in epic proportions. After this golfing extravaganza we were famished and had to partake some sustenance. Since we had to track down some morsels, we luckily had a player who had experience in the area, and we headed to LPB for some nourishment. This was no small undertaking since the empty parking spaces in downtown Boone are not exactly numerous for our destination. Nevertheless, we had some luck after some anxious territorial subterfuge. Good thing too, since we were famished. After sucking up some BooneToberFest and some scrumptious appetizers, I had a “Big Red” pizza that was a delight and shared with those who were willing. Can’t say when I will be back soon, and for your hungry mountain travelers, this would be a good place to stop to wet your whistle and enjoy some pleasantries when in the area. Bon Appetit!
