You know I really like this place. In fact I like it a lot. In fact it is my favorite dog place of the moment. Hotdogs as we know get terrible rap for being bad for you. Probably because they are, but who really knows. Anyway if you are like me every once in a while you get this urge for one or two of these forbidden morsels. Most of the times it is a sporting event and you end up with one these things that look and taste like a rubber chicken and you grimace and think, “I’ll never eat another”. Other times, well you find a place that knows what they are doing to make these little treats delicacies of the gods. This is what we have here at JJs. Especially if you like loaded dogs like me. Take a look at the pic and tell me these don’t look like a delight.
JJ’s is a nouveau hotdog joint that serves up dogs in various ways as well as variety of beer crafties. You order from the counter and then find your seat. Not my favorite, but works here. This time around I got the #1 Redhot and the Joliet Jake (Chicago Style) with rings and H&H tea. The dogs were charred and mounted with the appropriate add-ons and the rings appeared and tasted homemade for a killer meal. So this place is not to be missed if you come to Charlotte, but you might consider popping a couple of Tums before that first mouthful! (note they have another site in Charlotte in Ballantyne that serves up great ones too!!!)
