Asheville isn’t exactly a great haven for piedmont or eastern style NC Q.
However, it does have a fair amount of good barbecue restaurants that
serve up delicious Q treats. Luella’s is one of these. I had a pork sandwich
with slaw on Texas Toast with their house cue sauce. For a sides I had
puppies and fried okra and of course half-half tea. All of which was very
nicely done. My belief from viewing others patron’s meals that their thoughts
were the same as mind since they were wolfing down every morsel. No
doubt I will stop here again upon my next trip to Asheville.
