On a return trip from Mouseland, we stopped off at a jewel of a place in Brunswick, Ga., called appropriately, Willie Jewel’s. Interestingly enough, to my chagrin, I have never stumbled upon this restaurant on my trips down to Jax for work. Apparently, they are a franchise type of chain but have separate owners. Don’t know exactly, but this one is good. I had pretty much my standard Q pulled pork sandwich on a soft bun with white slaw and okra as a side. Plus, of course, a dose of 1/2 &1/2. The portion was large, and the meat smoky. Not much need for a sauce, but I did try their fine house. Very nice all around, to say the least, and I will no doubt stop there again. Hope you will too!
